Port Forwarding with telkom Zyxel router

Hey,

Does any1 have any probs with port fwrding On the Zyxel router??

My Outgoing port is fine, and I have also had a port scan done to the router and it says the port is open. But when I try to connect to it from my work the router doesnt seem to fwrd the port to my pc!

I have check portforward.com and followed the step but with no success

Any help would be grate!!

ive had the same problem everything else is fine but if i need to forward ports it dont work even if i do what portforward says dunno why

I think Its got something to do with telkom, they prob edit the firmware or something on there routers to stop incoming connections

Remember that the traffic is still going through the firewall. I have used port fowarding for FTP, HTTP and VNC from remote locations without any problems.
Security / Firewall / rules-> packet direction: Wan to LAN
Click on "Add". On bottom of rules page in service section, remove "any TCP" and remove "Any UDP". Select ports from the left "available services" or "edit customized services"

Thanx for your reply willems!! I have allowed the connections through my firewall and added the port!! but I am gonna try remove the "any TCP" and "any UDP" from the prot list in the firewall rules. and I will reply with my results.

Nope still nothing!! I also allowed the connection through my PC's firewall

Not sure that this will help but it may give you some ideas ...

Here are some links regarding port forwarding problems on a Zyxel 660. Maybe you could try to do the port forwarding from a telnet session as described in the first link (you may need to change IP addresses and menu numbers etc).

I've got port forwarding on a ZyXel working, make sure you set the port forward properly, as well as the modem/router firewall and your software firewall on your pc.
