Hi all,
Wanted to know, my contract for MTN expires Monday 02 June 2014
Already have 2 existing Vodacom contracts,
Question:
Can I port my MTN number "into" one of the existing contracts, just changing the number into a 083

When you port a number then that exact number is carried over to the new network as is. Once you have ported the number over to Vodacom, you can request a MSISDN change, but there is a cost for this and kind of defeats the purpose of porting a number. If you do the change in a shop, they will give you a list of numbers to choose from, but you cant make up your own number.

Thank you kindly for the reply Ockie, my logic may have been flawed here - reason was just that this number has been with me since cell phones came into SA .. and Ive been with the "yellow" people reluctantly for the same period.
Will move all my other contracts to you guys when they expire though ;-) I've made up my mind !
