Porting a preferred number onto existing contract upon renewal

Hi. I am an existing internet promo5 user and have been offered the 10GB plus an additional 10GB night surfer if I renew.

I would like to use this contract in a 2.3GHz LTE cellphone as my primary contact. Thus I desire to port my existing CellC prepaid number onto this contract upon renewal, and receive a micro sim.

Is this possible and straight-forward?

Yes, you can do it, but not sure how much your voice calls will cost. It is a data contract after all.

Best is to send a message to the Telkom Mobile rep on here and ask if it's ok.

Thanks needed some assurance, as it seems Telkom Mobile take a while to follow up.

I believe 2 or 3 odd rand a minute are justified by the ability to stream freely and download torrents on the go

As far as I know those sim cards can't make calls. I can't even call the helpline if I put 10gb+10gb sim card in my phone.
