I wanted to port to Mtn from Vodacom on prepaid(the reasons are obvious with vodacom's amazing reception )..but when i
went to an mtn store : ''Its not available yet/Its very complicated'' ...hmm really? Surely its less hassle than on a contract port?

It's another case of point-of-sale ignorance or laziness. There is full porting between contract and prepaid in all directions.

Get the store agent's name and submit it to MTN if you feel inclined to.

Or, with less aggravation, go to the receiving network and let them handle the port on your behalf.

Yup i shall try.... thanks for the reassurance . But is the ''receiving network'' not Mtn itself, since im planning to port to Mtn? What i've heard is that your current network is usually not responsible for the port, but i'll enquire anyways.
