Got notification from Telkom about decommissioning copper network in my area.

I'm using vox fibre at home, need to port my landline number so I want to know if their vobi app is any good?

You can port once every 60 days in SA.

Probably indefinitely.

I ported my Telkom home number to Vox Vobi in 2020
I mostly get wrong number dialed calls (my number is similar to a local business) but it is clear.

Our office lines were changed to Telkom FLLA and they are quite bad (can most of the time not make out what people are saying)

Don't give Telkom notice until your new provider suggests it's time, else you could end up losing the number.
But Telkom just likes to give these warnings re copper discontinuation, I think my area has had 3 over the years with no action.

We ported anyway to cut costs, using Afrihost VOIP these days. No problems.

I've been through the process of porting a Telkom landline number to a VOIP provider. The biggest thing to know is that once the port goes through, your Telkom landline account will be automatically cancelled by Telkom. There is no need to cancel it yourself.

Thanks for the info. got notification this morning from vox my porting will be done on the 9th April.
