Hi Guys

Does anyone know if there will be issues porting from Virgin Mobile to a Vodacom/MTN prepaid 'account'. And then later upgrading to a contract. At the moment I want out of Virgin ASAP, but can't find a contract I'm interested in porting to, so I'd prefer to go to prepaid, and upgrade to contract later?

Thanks.

How much do you spend a month?

at the moment, about 1 - 1.5k.... but ideally it shouldn't be more than R500.00, I dont want to get a contract more than that because I'm often out of the country for months, and do't want to be paying a high monlthy fee for something I'm not using... I used to be on the Vodacom 120 monthly minute thing, which was fine.

Sure thing, assuming you're on Virgin prepaid.
(If you were on contract, you'd have to cancel the contract first.)
PM me if you need assistance porting to Vodacom.

I'm on Virgin contract... they're making arrangements for me to port away (finally).

I left Vodacom due to an issue I had with their response to the broken cellphone I got on contract for one and a half years, then sold 2nd hand. But, Vodacom always had the decency to get back to me, and at least made a decent attempt in helping me with my problems, unlike Virgin.

So I'm happy enough to go back to them or MTN... first one where I find the best deal on a package...

Why not take the T500 package? Might as well if you spending that much.
If you looking for the E90 or N95 it will be best to get a T500 although I think the E90 will be expensive till the end of the year. I doubt it will be free on any package.
