Hi Guys

Just over a month ago our overhead telkom lines where stolen.

After spending a whole bunch of money digging a trench, telkom put a new UG line in, and our loop to the exchange is now about 500m shorter. (was 6.5Km)

Before the line theft I was able to maintain a constant sync of 2048 Kbps at between 6 and 8 Noise margin. (at line attenuation of 62 dB) [using a netgear DGN2200]

I am currently getting a steady 11.1 dB to 11.4 dB Noise margin at 58 dB.

Do you guys think I'll be able to upgrade to 4Mb?

At this moment in time it will be impossible to get a stable sync with 4 mbps
Your SNR is simply too low already at 2 mbps.
Not to mention your line noise of 58db that is incredibly bad.
On most modems you will need an SNR of at least 6db to be able to have a stable connection.

The only thing i can suggest you do since you already replaced your line between you and the exchange and with a distance of 6Km you won't really get anything better out of your line.
Is that you can try a different modem especially if your modem is a few years old.
When i replaced my old billion 5102G modem that was about 7 years old with a new TP-Link W8968 my downstream SNR jumped up from 17db to 26db!
It didn't make a difference to my line noise but if you can squeeze out an extra 5-7db of SNR you might be able to get 4mbps.
