Possibly the worst load-shedding we have ever seen coming to South Africa - Expert

South Africans can expect to be hit hard by load-shedding before the end of June 2020, according to energy expert Ted Blom.

Blom told MyBroadband that as demand increases due to heavy industry, such as mining and smelting coming back online, Eskom could face problems from as soon as next week.

Thought it was roughly 25GW at peak (down form a normal 31GW+) from the system status report. Where is that 10-12GW figure coming from?

They did do some maintenance, but remember they locked down everything, including the ability to get the necessary parts.

Yes, its all good saying do maintenance, but when parts come from China, and China is locked down, or have been locked down, then despite all your good intentions, maintenance won't happen the way you want it to.
