Level 4 lockdown with a touch of level 2 loadshedding.

Would be lucky if it's only level 2. "Hey guys, here's some lock down with loadshedding lvl 4 with no smokes and alcohol while we sit in our cozy mansions, exempt from loadshedding, sipping fine wines and smoking our cigars"

But mah virus. Work from home. No electricity. Schweet.
Had to go into the office yesterday because of no power in my area. I'm lucky I've got one of those letters, but even than never been pulled over.

WTF??

How much more are you folks expected to take??

Unbelievable indeed !!!
Could the maintenance not have taken place during the lock down?

And before some smart ass comes up with social distancing stories ... I seriously doubt you need two people in such a small space on a power generation plant just for maintenance .... (there is always one)

That would require some foresight and planning....

Still waiting for the regular stage 6 load shedding we were promised earlier this year (or was it last year?)

He estimated that the national demand has fallen to around 10-12GW, primarily due to the lockdown requiring heavy industry to shut down temporarily.

Thought it was roughly 25GW at peak (down form a normal 31GW+) from the system status report. Where is that 10-12GW figure coming from?

Why don't we internet-shed to create a complete shitshow? Or water shed?

They did do some maintenance, but remember they locked down everything, including the ability to get the necessary parts.

Yes, its all good saying do maintenance, but when parts come from China, and China is locked down, or have been locked down, then despite all your good intentions, maintenance won't happen the way you want it to.
