SA Post Office wants R8 billion from government

The South African Post Office (SAPO) is in survival mode and has asked the government for R8.16 billion to save the company.

This was revealed in legal documents filed by the General Manager of Legal Services within the South African Post Office, Motsiri Elias Matimulane.

Close it down
We do not need a Post Office in this day and age

Open up Sassa stations and Grant stations and whatever you need, but close the post offices down immediately
ANC has fooked up yet another SOE

“For months, SAPO failed to pay the full member contributions to the fund on behalf of its employees while the deductions still appeared on the employees’ payslips,” Solidarity said.
How is this not fraud? Someone should check if they are deducting pensions from salaries....Oh wait, whats this?
The SAPO faces a loss of R2.5 billion in 2020/21 and owes large amounts in pension fund contributions for workers.

R8.1bn... LOL

Close down the Post Office, we don't need it. Private Couriers are doing a fantastic job!

But but, the PO had all these plans to deliver parcels under 1KG...

Lol....Ill bet R1.00 that it gets approval....
