Any recommendations on affordable power banks in ZA?
Superfly, LDNIO, Ultra-Link, Romoss, Energizer and Rocka may be options?

I have had it since Dec 19, it was a Christmas present for my wife:)

It get charged on about a weekly basis, so maybe 30 discharge cycles.

I have not notice any performance degradation yet. It can recharge a Samsung J4 or Tab E in a few hours

Alternatively, I connect it to a charging point, and at the same time connect my phone in the output port. Then both the power bank and the phone charge at the same time.

The charging point is normally a mains socket with 2 USB charging points. I have these in the bedroom, and they are great, never have to hunt for a 2 pin charger, which does not make a good connection.

How many charges do you get on the J4?

I am very happy with an Adata 10000 unit

Got my mom 2 of these for loadshedding and extended power outages after they tried to use a Magneto LED light to charge phone (despite me telling them not to) and it started smouldering.

On the J4, not more than 2 charges. Though we seldom try to get more than 1 charge, as we would normally recharge both phone and power bank.

My 10000mAh Adata PT100 lasted for around 400 charge cycles before the capacity took a dive. I can still use it as a torch for loadshedding. Orico (Geewiz, Loot, Takealot etc.) is another affordable brand which is of reasonable quality. I am not sure whether the Loot app only FREED code for free delivery is still active.

Anker where possible. Also noticed they're trying to move all their inventory that isn't capable of PD

Any reason why?
I can get a higher capacity superfly or adata power bank for the same or lower price.
Quality is also important
I'm not intrested in something that's cheap but rubbish.
Dude, no need to fuss about power banks anymore, they're cheap so get another one if yours suck.

I bought one of these jobbies 'cos my 20k one was a bit bulky for our trip to Thailand Dec'19 (just before Covid :crying:)

Been using it since & works like a bomb, a steal for R370 (last x-mas special at Incredible)

We use Romoss exclusively in our household (6 power banks) and they work great.
Usually buy them on special. This is 20000mAh that we got last. link
