Can highly recommend the Mecer inverter if you on a tight budget. Do realise that there is a massive shortage and backorder on batteries, but places should receive stock soon again.

Yeah, this one seems to be the mose popular, and I can also vouch for it.

Power trollies that can carry you through stage 4 load-shedding

Eskom will implement Stage 4 load-shedding from 16:00 on Thursday, 3 August 2022, and South Africans can get a backup power trolley to last the duration of a two-and-a-half-hour power cut for as little as R4,995.

MyBroadband looked for affordable backup trolleys that could power a selection of electrical equipment through a bout of Stage 4 load-shedding.

Problem with level 4 vs 2 is the 6 hour gaps most schedules have between sessions.

Lead acid typically need 8-10 hours to charge back up, adding to the fact that lead acid damage have a higher change of being permanent the longer its not at 100% SoC, so making a lot of the suggestions a no go.

Lithium on the other hand does have a higher absorption and also don't mind not being full. In fact that nature of Lithium is that you typically wanna keep them between 30-80% SoC.

Just note that the Mecer units not typically suited for Lithium as they lack the ability to set charge/float Voltage.
Also DO NOT USE the 20A setting when on LFP!!!

Lack of load will cause Mecer to switch back to float, yet battery will still pull same amount of current from the wall to charge vs a bulk phase but without a fan running. On 20A this can cause the Mecer to overheat & die.

Im using a 3000VA Axpert with 2X Deep cycle batteries. most my budget could afford. general work my PC, 2x27inch monitors, router and 4bay NAS drive draws 300w. on load (rendering) 500w. gaming 500w too. on a 2.5hr session. it doesnt use less than 50% (3/4 bars). If i can keep the consumption like this, should be ok until i can afford lithium/better solution. for now its helping my business tremendously! its value in time alone will pay itself back in a few months.

You spelled Leroy Merlin incorrect.

Also, you are going on about the type of battery and differences, yet you fail to mention the type of battery in your listings.

You can and should do better.
