Poweralert Stage 3 (old news)

So far my area doesn't seem to be affected... But it probably won't be long before they add more areas.

How are you having 4 hours of load shedding, when Eskom hasn't declared it. Or is this perhaps planned outage? Or load reduction

Now that did not take long. Others to follow soon and then full blown Loadshedding once again. Diesel now running out.

This is City power, not Eskom, load reduction is not load shedding and if they were burning diesel like you believe, they'd have been finished ages ago.

More like, overloading of the local area grid, too many people connect. Blame the illegal connections - if they were legit, then the network would have been planned for and upgraded.

"planned" maintenance, that they only announced today. Normally they give us a week or more notice, but not this time

You understand how little your lone suburb matters in terms of the national grid's load right?

They could cut you permanently and the needle wouldn't move.

So not load shedding than, it's maintenance and it can't always be planned weeks in advanced, at least you have a few days notice.

Wow and how many people are complaining about the local power failures that they keep saying oh look it's load shedding. Or they say CP is secretly load shedding

If it was me who had messed up beyond belief and was now trying to fix that, IOW just doing my job, would be doing it as quietly as a mouse.

Doing things quietly as a mouse is giving naysayers a chance to spread malicious conspiracy theories, it's better to keep the public informed with facts every step of the way.

These are not facts, these are half truths to make it sound like they doing a good job.
