You just have to switch off half your brain
It's the startBold of you to assume that will get me anywhere near the required levels of non logic required...
Aren’t you so happy to be back from down under?Mine went out just before I went to sleep. Ran aircon on inverter until it woke me up at midnight with battery low so I switched back and power was back. Looks like about 2 hours judging by the street WhatsApp group.
Meh, it’s like muscle memory now, I can do it now half asleep.Aren’t you so happy to be back from down under?
He's still trying, he literally tried the same stunt last year when they weren't even using diesel and the EAF was high. Also does he forget from 2021 to 2023 he was the CEO??Andre still giving chest pains methinks.

Andre de Ruyter’s comment about Eskom becoming true
Former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter claimed that the only reason the lights were on was that the power utility burned diesel at a rate of knots. This is now becoming a reality.businesstech.co.za
"Eskom revealed that from 1 to 10 April 2025, it spent approximately R1.34 billion on fuel for the Open-Cycle Gas Turbines (OCGTs) fleet." Hairdressers have to eat.
and
"“If the lights are on, it is because they are pouring a considerable amount of money into diesel at a rate of knots,” he said.
His claims were debatable at the time as Eskom’s diesel use was declining. However, recent data shows that this trend has reversed.
The latest year-to-date data, from 1 January to 13 April, showed that Eskom’s average daily diesel usage has increased every year since 2021."
According to the Reserve Bank, six to 12 hours of loadshedding costs the economy between R204 million and R899 million1. Despite these enormous costs, loadshedding increased dramatically through the first quarter of 2023, and the national grid seems unlikely to recover any time soon.
Does this coincide with the level of diesel usage you are seeing? @Lupus
Yeah looking like it might here :-( hopefully only after they fix my bloody water.
I will be flying to the UK in less than two months, I expect the crew here to discuss it with me as much interest as we did with @wingnut771
