Poweralert Stage 3 (old news)

Pleasantly surprised to hear he survived the sleepover in Colesberg. I've seen the place. Couldn't get out fast enough.

Though I'm sure the 45 or so inmates residents find the place charming.
Airbnb next to police station for R400. Aircon and Wi-Fi.
This was the menu in the room:

Had a cheese burger and apple crumble with custard delivered.

We had no water the whole week. Apparently due to "installing new type meters at reservoirs" which affected much of Jo'burg

Was horrible
JHB sounding more and more like Mogadishu with every passing day.

On my next visit I expect to see collared hyenas on chains being taken for a walk in the streets.

EDIT: my heart genuinely goes out to you folks living there. I don't know how you live with the constant water, electricity and road maintenance failures. You're more resilient people than I am that's for sure.

Speaking about Colesberg - my parents went to their friend's son's wedding there. Apparently it is roughly away between CT and JHB which was perfect as he was from CT and she from JHB.

It's not as widespread as you think to that degree, but yeah, I join you in compassion for those who are so battered. A couple of them in the thread as we've seen.

I must take a photo of (many of) our main roads' robots & associated road signs one of these days.
(Our example is Louis Botha Ave.)

Left / straight lane - normal,

Middle lane is with a turn-right-only arrow,

Right lane (meant for buses of which there are still few) suggests you can only go straight.... :sick:o_O

It's the end of the world as we know it...
