Poynting Antennas has indicated to me that there is a massive problem with delivery of the "Clip-on" antenna for Huawei datacards. Firstly, all the shelf stock has been retained, and will probably be destroyed. The problem is with the connectors, incorrect tolerances apparently. Several customers have experienced problems in that they plug in the antenna and cannot remove it.

Time frame indicated is set at approximately mid-January. They are manufacturing from scratch.

I am awaiting further (technical) information as to what actually happened, and will post here when I receive it.

Ok,

I have data sheets/brochures for all the clip-ons and the high-gain externals. PM me if you're interested. (this includes antennas seen in Yebo News)

Is there still a problem with the "Clip-on" antenna for Huawei datacards?

They are out of production. Poynting has indicated that new (and correct) stock will be available around mid January 2007. Huawei users will simply have to hang on until then, there's no solution in the mean time.

Is there still a problem with the "Clip-on" antenna for Huawei datacards?
