Prasa's top engineer Daniel Mtimkulu lied about his qualifications

Yet again. Always shortcuts with these entitled people. Only when the **** hits the fan does someone verify qualifications.

IMO government should verify everyone in state owned companies qualifications but we all know they won't do that.

The list of SOEs isn't that long is it? Would be a good idea if all of them require degrees which might be lied about. It's good to see action being taken when the rules are broken for a change.

maybe he should fight back and say, oh he got suspended because he is a black dude... since pulling the race card being so popular :)

but it shouldn't just be mr fake qualifications that is suspended, but all the cronies around him, he didnt do the work on his own, and those that tried to cover this up as well
 
And that one PRASA guy defended him so vehemently on 702 on The Midday Report and explained why he didn't need to be a registered engineer and blah blah ... LOLz at him!
 
Now that the issue of fake qualifications is out of the way, can we get the truth about the locomotives. Will they operate safely on SA's network and if not how is PRASA going to rectify this?

what prasa needs is a real engineer to take this fraud's place. it just so happens that i'm an engineer too, i promise. i'm not registered, but i assure you i am an engineer.
 
Now that he has been officially exposed I am more than glad that the initial reports have been proved correct.

Two things should happen; immediate dismissal with no additioanl benefits other than what is prescribed in the LRA AND he must be criminally charged. I'm sure that some clever person can open a case against him with a long list of charges. Nail him.

guess the taxpayer will have to fix it again.

as the problem was not that the trains would hit the bridge being too high (for the prasa ******** saying the trains did not hit the bridge during test), but that the exhaust outlets so close to the overhead cables causing carbon build up, then danger of arcing... perhaps custom fitment of a broom behind the exhaust, to clean the cables :D

but lets hope they can sort the problems, get the new trains correctly specced... we need decent new public transport

Salary crieria would be based on qualifications so he should pay back the money

And this clown will probably still pull a big salary while the "investigation" is ongoing.

And he will probably pull the racism or apartheid card out soon as well.
 
Montana also defended Mtimkulu, and suggested that the engineering team was being undermined because the lead engineer is black.
