So, how does everyone feel about this Saturday's game against England?

We have had some bad injuries this last game (which was a struggle already).

My one thought is that Habana should be on the bench this time around thank you, and maybe get Jacque Fourie to open, last saturday he showed some energy (probably thought:" meh, will probably be off in about 15 minutes, so let me break some skulls...'FREEDOM!!!!!'"), and well Mr Habana, what is there to say, well nothing really as he usually fumbles, or runs into the nearest defender he can find.

After the scotland game, the one position that is worrying me is Nr 15 : Conrad Jantjies. I am sorry but he played really really crap, and to fumble twice with an open goal line right in front of you is a problem, maybe he should also not start, and go on later, but if he does not start who will?

Have to say, I think Mr Matfield is improving a bit on the field away from the line outs, seems like he is more confident when he gets the ball

i reckon we are gonna have some serious problems against england, our forwards aren't pulling their weight and the backs aren't getting the good ball they need, also, we need to figure out how these refs are blowing the game cause we are screwing ourselves by giving away penalties when we are about to score.

Defensively, we need to stay on our feet and compete for the ball to get those penalties and we need to make smothering tackles when rushing up to stop the ball getting out.

as is the norm, heart wants these guys to win but my head says england are gonna be 5 to 7 points better than us on saturday.

edit: and by smothering I mean actually tackle the guy and a make sure he can't offload

I agree with hoegh, the way we have been playing lately, we're either going to struggle and win, or struggle and lose.

Remember, England is out for blood (They'll never forget the Final lose against us)

I'm all for Springboks but I think we going to lose this weekend, unless we come right... fast!

I think we should be ok.

  • Want adrian jacobs and Jean to swap
  • want Bekker to start with bakkies
  • want jannie to play and not mujati!!!
Also would love to see Fourie du preez back in the starting line up.

Want Fourie in nr 11 jersey and want habanna in nr 14 jersey.

Maybe also get Russouw on the bench with victor and have them play the last 30-40 mins?

it will be an interesting game to say the least, but if we dont get our act together, a lot of ppl will grabbing for their hart pills...

..our forwards aren't playing as a team, their seems to be no real game plan. we are also not adapting to the way the northern hemisphere refs are blowing the game, thus giving away far too many penalties.
our backs are also ver plat on attacking, thus as soon as they get the ball, the defender is already on him

and lastly, lets hope some of the injuries on some key players are sorted by the time they announce the team on thursday

You know, I feel at time like these we should take drastic measures....When there is a ruck or maul, when we get up, those with the red jerseys involved in said ruck or maul should not get up.

If the ref cannot wait to penalise us, lets give them something to penalise us about.

OK, this is bad advice but sometimes I just want to strangle the ref, and even though people say its because the interpret the rules differently in the northern hemisphere, I say BS!!! Some of them blatantly turn a blind eye to the home team's infractions

maybe habana should be dropped, nokwe incl in his place - maybe let jaque fourie start.
ruan pienaar on scrummy and steyn on flyhalf
but again as this is the most crucial game of the tour, maybe as few changes as possible.

but whatever the case, i vote SPRINGBOKKE to win by 4

I say we will annihilate them by a 20 point margin as long as the ref reads a rule book about the break-down before the game...

If they sort out their issues they will win, if not its 50/50. On paper Sa has a much better squad.

Pity about Jua Smith though, He seems to be in form.

Although I do think S.A will come to the party tommorow.

But kanko usually plays so bad, he creates pressure game time for everyone around him :D

Do you watch rugby?

Out of interest take a look at the SA rugby awards this year and see how many awards Kankowski is up for and then tell us again how cr_p he is....

I say we will annihilate them by a 20 point margin as long as the ref reads a rule book about the break-down before the game...

After reading the doom and gloom posts about our performance against Scotland I could not wait to get to the bottom to have my say about the fact that our forwards were not allowed to play due to the appalling refereeing! Now without harping on abut that game too much but to put it in perspective... If someone like Schalk is prevented from clearing out at the rucks and mauls (which is basically his job, together with the odd huge tackle and ball steal) and is effectively taken out the game early then your forwards are always going to battle! And he was not the only one, a number of forwards were penalised on attack!!

We do have another Northern hemisphere ref, which we knew as it always is on these tours, in Nigel Owen of Wales, but let's just hope he watched Mark Lawrence last weekend and got a lesson on how to referee!

My personal view is that the Boks want to end on a high.... at least a 10 point win but I am tempted to silence my brain and use my heart in saying 20!! :)

I don't feel positive about this one. Another Northern Hemisphere ref with whistleitis. Last big game of the year with the prospect of going home. Have we got a proper flyhalf?

Poms 22 Bokke 11
