Hi all,

Can any of you good people tell me why my prepaid meter load sheds me if i using "too much" power . Seems like it sheds me at 9200w for one min , then another warning for another minute if i continue then really gets going when it sheds me for 30 mins. Any ideas how i can bypass it or who do i call ? Don't tell me to call the council , i'd rather paint grass....

call the council, and paint grass....

9200w off a residential prepaid meter... Seems like you are drawing over 40 amps at times, and this might be a limitation of your prepaid meter.

I do recall some municipalities implementing load limiting, with alerting features similar to what you describe, but there should be an SMS warning beforehand.... Calling the municipality is probably the best idea
