I suppose the irony is lost on the shoe-thrower: imagine if he tried that with Saddam. Or any Middle East dictator / President for Life.

It's also deliciously ironic that those who pour such vitroil on Bush are so often themselves such poor exponents of the very things they accuse him of lacking.

Isn't it always the case. ;)

+100. He had that same stupid grin at the inaugaration when America re-elected him, was probably thinking "how the F. did I get a 2nd term?!".

Remember a line from a stand-up, i forget his name, the line was "We American's are the only country in the world who have a president who looks like he is constantly looking into the sun" :D

Gonna miss ol' Dubya. We have Malema and Zuma for now. Hopefully Palin runs for president in 2012, should be amusing.

As funny as it was, wtf were his bodyguards doing as the angry journalist took off 2 shoes and threw them at their president  What if those objects being thrown were capable of causing harm to the president. Im not so much worried for bush but for the next president who already has had a couple of attempts at his life.

Ya well he may have had reason to be upset but what did he think would happen when he threw the shoes?

Well if you attack a president of any country then expect to get physically disciplined. What did he expect?

Hehe it was bloody funny though. If he felt so strongly about it, the broken ribs and bruises will be worth while, so why are they complaining?
