I jest not. We have Rassie at the helm, and if you read some articles, you will see he actually mentioned this exact same thing. And is planning against it.
Lol, I was talking about SAs socioeconomic issues.

Ok, but you would be wrong there as well. SA actually got much stronger economically post 1995 under Trevor Manuel and Mandela. And even Mbeki. It was when that putrid human called Zuma took power, that things took a downward curve.

Our rugby squad is much stranger than it was in 2007.

Let our current team play our teams from 2007 and 1995 and we's thrash them.

That's a bit relative. But I'm just happy with the All Blacks being sent packing, and then the cocky English getting completely monstered by the Bokke.

I haven't really been following rugby much since I left SA but I must say it has turned into quite the kicking & penalty game. I only really got excited when we actually pushed for some tries but before that point they could have just saved everyone the hassle by letting each team take a couple of kicks at the posts from different angles.

It's been like that since Naas Botha's time. It's why the neutrals all tend towards the All Blacks, as they tended towards a more fluent passing and running game.

It's also what they changed the points system to encourage tries to be scored. Used to be 4 points for a try. So 2 penalties were the equivalent to a converted try. Now, it's more

Because Rassie was able to change the way we play in the final compared to the previous games. Something that Eddie Jones couldn't prepare for and they didn't change their game plan.

Rassie should have gotten man of the match.

You wouldn't want to ask that question of the vile racist , lower than shark schyte EFF.

That is just low, especially for him, he myst be looking for support for the upcoming EFF elections. Also says a lot about the thought that went into his post when he thinks Siya is the only black player in the squad.

With ALL the joy, and love for one's fellow man that has been flowing since Saturday, WTF must anyone give that waste of fresh air any space to express his views? Just ignore him - worst thing you can do to him!

I was thinking about this earlier: Its fantastic to have a World Cup, but when these players careers are over in a few short years, they will have to find actual jobs for the rest of their lives...

Uhm.. last I checked they basically make a lifetimes income in 1/3rd of the time.. post the game, if they managed to picked a profession/degree + business degree they can easily move into senior business roles due to presence alone. Alternatively try and ride out their popularity for a while and climb management structures in the sport..

My point is simple.. nowadays, players get a lot more money faster than ever before, knowledge on management of their income is more widely available and life after sport more easily done.

What’s not easily done though, is getting through contact sport in perfect health and this more important.
