Would be nice to see a Rugby thread without constant pushing of politics.

Pretty much the nature of MyBB forums. Becomes a little getalong gang, sometimes a little Oranje stad or whatever its called

Yeah if the Boks played an expansive wild running rugby game as many on here called for last week and many many more in my office and on social media they might well have been klapped by the English like the All Blacks.
You don't play Barbarians rugby in the World Cup. End of Story. The Boks know that and first had to dominate up front and soften the poms up for 50 mins before they started playing a bit more wide.

That being said there was definitely less ping-pong - maybe because the English style doesn't encourage it.

They simply just pay more money. There are also English and Japanese clubs, but the French market is ridicously high.
True. I think some of the older players will opt more for the Japanese clubs, as the intensity is less, so they can play longer.

I stay close to Toulon where many people have a 2nd house in Monaco. No country can compete with the money in this region. Toulon is fanatical about Rugby.

Oh yeah I know! I have made best friends with a guy from Toulon, who works here at Hinkley, over the subject of rugby. The passion, I love it.

The captain should not come off, unless they are kak
That is not the way this teams plays. Impact players go on from about the 45 minute mark and in every single game they have a huge impact.

Besides Kolisi there is a bunch of other players that are captains on the field. They don't need a caption to hold their hand. He usually plays 60 minutes, the bomb squad 20 to 30 minutes. The modern game is quite different from what the game used to be.

Maybe the team should be coached by blacktwitter?

All Afrikaans speaking white bokke would be removed immediately. And those black players sucking up to them, like Kolisi and Kolbe, as well.

Twitter is a useful platform if used properly. Sadly, most see it as a propaganda gathering means.

For inciting or just working people up. South Africa and it's Twitterati are not quite ready for this yet.

The Boks did actually change it up a bit.

The physicality and forward dominance was still there, but they were readily looking for opportunities to unleash the backline. Almost from the outset they were more expansive than they were against Wales.

And once the English started opening themselves up to try and get back in to the game our backs actively looked to exploit mismatches out wide as they targeted the English forwards on the wings, resulting in both tries.

It's been like that since Naas Botha's time. It's why the neutrals all tend towards the All Blacks, as they tended towards a more fluent passing and running game.

It's also what they changed the points system to encourage tries to be scored. Used to be 4 points for a try. So 2 penalties were the equivalent to a converted try. Now, it's more
It's also why the All Blacks were not in the final, they don't play the kicking game or the physical forwards game. They play the odds game where the odds are, if you aim to score tri's, you're inevitably going to outscore the opposition since 1x converted Tri > 2x penalties or drop goals. That would work in every other game but failed against England.
