How did you guys eventually get up and running?

I ordered on 04/08/2016 (from WA), and I've yet to hear a thing, no telkom order number, nothing.

Tried sending Warren an email, but it seems like his mailbox is either down or broken.

Finally up and running

I'm in Bushwillow, still running it through telkom, I pre-ordered my line in Feb, so was a very long wait. First Telkom guy to come installed in my house, then said there was a problem outside. Warren and myself thought it was the same problem a few of the other complexes had, which was MKR infrastructure, but a new Telkom guy came last week and with a bit of investigation found that the fiber outside the complex was damaged, so he go someone to run a new fiber cable into Bushwillow, and an hour later Was getting 40mb download speeds and have not had a problem since. Finally up and running in Greenfield.

Down: 9.7 Mbps
Up: 4.7 Mbps

Running on Afrihost data.

Small update from me.

After struggling since the 8th of April to get Telkom out, someone finally came out to attempt the install. Unfortunately, after trying for about 8 hours, they were unable to find the channeling that goes from my house to the fiber manhole.

I have someone coming out at 15:00 today to see if they can trace it. Telkom guy left his number and said I could call him back if the manage to find it.

Here's to hoping they can trace it this afternoon. If they can't, I'm going to have to fork out the cash to fix it myself, seems like MNT have washed their hands of the issue.

So after a lot of fighting and money, my fiber is finally up:

Good day,

My Fibre is down at River Glen in the Estate and according to Telkom the whole estate has this issue. Can anybody else confirm this?

Same here, mine started on Monday and Telkom confirmed they had issues with the splitters. I'm at Rondebosch. They said it should be sorted by today though.

So the Telkom came to install my fibre and discovered that there is no conduting in the neighbours ceiling. He is coming back tomorrow and we will have the neighbours keys (awesome neighbours). Then he will put some conduiting in their ceiling to protect the fibre and then follow the copper line to the main fibre line.

So by tomorrow evening I should have fibre... Here is hoping.

Mine also started on Monday after we had a power outage in the afternoon. They told me today that a technician is working on the issue but has not yet been deployed to our area. Holding thumbs!

I haven't had any outage issues since mine was installed, I'm down in Country Walk:
