The US has something similar called camelcamelcamel. It basically tracks website's prices indicating the average/lowest/highest/current prices.

This means you will finally know if you are trully getting a bargain or if it was increased before dropping R2000 odd.

No Takealot? Are they blocking this? I recall reading something a year or so ago about takealot blocking trackers for prices? Maybe someone can confirm?

Yes Takealot blocked them some time back already.
I used to use them for tracking items on takealot before they got blocked.

Exactly and the website helps alot with that. You can see all those Makro price rotations quite nicely on it.
