thanx MTNDD... Why did they tell me mine is free? Could it be because I have current contract (Mychoice R49 p/month)?

I see ordering the card from MTNSP is no problem... its getting the courier companny to deliver it that is... but a very nice lady by the name of Sam sorted it out and promised delivery before 6pm... she even gave me her private nr in case its not here by 6pm... At least somebody except you care about customers.

I was told that the E620 datacard is free on the mychoice 75 contract. This will mean paying 75 per month that can be used for data or by adding 150 per month you can get 350MB per month - the cheapest option available.

I prefer the mychoice 75 contract. As you say you can use the R75 for data - even though its r2.00/m. With the MyCall I sit with a bunch of free minutes which I am not going to use again (already have a 2nd contract which is useless to me)

i ordered via MTNdirect (0831233667)

MTNDD:
When I called them to activate the sim they immediatly knew who I am and even went the extra mile by giving me a number close to my existing contract. Thanks once again for your help.

Credit vetting

Ok, I got the card on the mycall100 - plus I keep my PAYG number - so how long does this credit vetting take - this is my first contract with MTN?

Hey All,

A *WARNING* on the Top Up 75 Contract, that 75 bucks can't be used for data.

it ain't the same as PAYG, you need to contact the SP to activate a bundle, and (wouldn't you know) the bundle is over and above the 75 bucks.

I checked on my wifes sim card, no access to bundles from the topup menu.

I've been a contract subscriber since 1994 or 1995. Not 100% sure of the date. I've been loyal to MTN since then.

When I phoned MTNSP to apply for the MyChoice 75 contract with a datacard they faxed me the forms the morning 9:00. I filled it in, faxed the forms back and 10:45 I was back home with my new datacard.

Now that's what I call fast service. It seems like if you work with the right people at MTNSP Century City you get excellent service, but I must admit, it's not always like that.

That should be the case if you already a MTNSP contract holder. I had the same service with VC SP when taking out a 2nd & 3rd contract. Was sorted out in 10 min in the shop.
New contracts take longer..

I take it the out of bundle rate remains R1/MB regardless of the data bundle you use??
