What? He's an ANC and SADTU member and paid someone to get that job as well as paid a monthly stipend to keep that job. This is standard practice in those areas.

He will enter the ANC unemployment revolving door and re-emerge in another under the radar back office job somewhere else. The ANC is a family and friends business.
Suggest you speak to more people to find just how personal, deep and endemic corruption is in SA since 1994.

Anecdotal. Care to provide some stats?

It's up to the person who makes a claim to prove their claim.

Do you think a teacher will have a job if they don't belong to SADTU? The corruption and pay for jobs is endemic, especially in rural areas where there is little employment. It's the reason teachers unqualified to even teach the subjects they do as they have not even passed them are employed. It's the reason that the school standard is 30% in an already dumbed down curriculum. It's the reason that matrics are unemployable.

Yet you choose to deny it?

In the course of 24 hours, we've gone from making anecdotal arguments, to challenging people who make anecdotal arguments, to explaining the burden of proof to others, to not applying the burden of proof to ourselves.

What a rollercoaster!

This is all conjecture. A dealer in facts such as yourself should know that won't hold water.

Do you have a source for that, please?

When I asked my question, about a source, I was meaning it in exacty that sense: one more way - apart from speaking to people I know - of finding out more about the corruption (how wide-spread?) in SA. That's why I asked. Not to deny it, but to learn more about it.

As much as I love calling people out on stupid statements, you know this one is true despite not being able to prove it.
In Bisho there is a saying about the salary being a right and the bribe being the actual incentive, it is very much the case.
If you honestly think that these kinds of jobs in the middle of nowhere with a decent salary are not for sale, well you clearly have too much faith in the honesty of ANC officials.
I think I have seen one or two posts from you that implies that you sometimes think like Cosmik Debris so no surprises here.

No agenda. And you're whining now. Weaseling out of a tight spot of bother as per usual.

Then why don't you reply to these forumites, who agree with me completely:

And:

Not even in the middle of nowhere. Its everywhere, but specially bad in the rural areas. It is no secret. Some just still live under a rock.

Because you have a personal agenda with me but want to keep them on your side? Right?

I responded to Rocket. RV's comment is conjecture just like yours. Besides, they're not talking about this principal unlike you.

Getting one or two people to agree with you is not very hard, but contrary to popular belief it does not give credibility to your claims.

Zuma has millions of people who agree with him that he's being persecuted.
