Prince Misuzulu Zulu has been named as the new Zulu King. In her will, the late regent of the Zulu kingdom Queen Mantfombi Dlamini bequeathed the monarchy to her first son.

This means Prince Misuzulu will be installed as the next king of the Zulus.

Well, now there is someone to look at for the 'unexpected and sudden death' :whistling::ROFL:

Was it someone else first. How old is this person.
46yo, and no, the King in his will named the now departed Queen maDlamini as the regent with all the responsibilities of a King, or Queen in this instance of the Zulu nation. According to the culture the next King was always going to come from the royal marriage and the late Queen is the royal wife being from the Kingdom of eSwatini, so following the same culture the first born from the royal marriage, that of the late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini and King Goodwill Zwelithini has now been named the King.

Obviously not everyone was going to warmly welcome the news.

This is not one of the siblings that were "conspiring" is it?

If not, then potentially more to come of this story.

True.

Why did they need to appoint a regent if the prince was old enough to be crowned?

I think Zwelithini dropped the ball and there were just too many loose ends, his sudden illness did not afford him the chance.
