Perhaps they're paid since they kinda count as cultural institutions.

So why isn't AfriForum then paid by the government?

Keep in mind, they have no power. They are integral to many cultures in SA. They're basically cultural institutions.

They have plenty power. If they tell their subjects to vote ANC, the vote is assured. The reason they are paid millions annually by the government while their subjects live in abject poverty. Vote differently and suffer a witch hunt.

I disagree. Yeah, they could have a big influence, but they literally can't sway everyone to vote exactly the same.

So, tell me which Afrikaner cultural institution the government supports.

Oh you can. All it requires is the Sangoma to sniff out the incorrect voters at the next Legotla. Then make an example of them by banishing them or killing them even if they are innocent. It's the same intimidation strategy used in necklacing. Sort a few out publicly even if innocent and the rest soon fall into line. Especially with the superstitious rural people that believe the Sangoma will be able to point them out.

Afrikaanse Taalmonument for one.

That's a monument, not an institution like the Afrikaanse Taal en Kultuur Vereniging. All monuments are paid by the government but the Voortrekker monument has to raise funds for preservation.

The ATKV will also most likely receive state support. I didn't see that the state put an embargo on any cultural institutions recently?

Mthethwa, according to reports, plans on renaming the Afrikaans language museum in Paarl, Western Cape, “on the grounds of inclusivity”.

Ramaphosa endorsed the king and gave him legitimacy, in return the royal house will support his 2nd term bid. This is important for a man who is being hounded for the ANC top post by Zulus like Zweli Mkhize and Jacob Zuma. Zulus are a serious block in the ANC and the country in general.

When has the royal house ever involved themselves in ANC politics?

The prime Minister of the Zulus Mangosuthu Buthelezi openly supported Ramaphosa's bid for a 2nd term at King Misuzulu's installation this weekend.

He did? He was also the life President of the IFP last time I checked, Hlabisa will expel him if he continues going around meddling in other parties businesses.

Zuma's daughter Dudu is gonna marry king to counter WMC puppet. Then King is literally finished, no matter how you see that event.

Buthelezi is the Supreme leader of the IFP and nobody will dare question him, just like Malema and Holomisa in their parties.
