Hi everyone
Please help me.

I have received a worrying communication from my colleague, we were supposed to meet and I lied that I am nearby, he said I must be serious because I am at x road and it will be hours before I reach a meeting place. He was right, I was at x road, now I am worried that my location can be easily viewed, I have since switched off my gps on my cellphone and cellphone number, he can't tell me what he used to see my whereabouts.

I want to hide my location, what else can I switch off?

We exchange emails using gmail account, we also whatsapp, and he have all my cellphone numbers my worry is, he have never got hold of my cellphone or laptop, how could he have managed to compromise my privacy? I am the one who always send attachments, mostly on whatsapp, oh and we share a folder in my dropbox.

PS. I use two-factor verification on both whatsapp and gmail.

Because he also lied. He is behind you. Watching your every move. He probably also has someone following you.

Being followed is highly unlikely I just lied being nearby and he exposed the lie, nothing major to get someone to follow me, we were just panicking about "big customer order" before lockdown was implemented. And no he's not a mafia typer guy, just ordinary joe. But he surprised me about the location.

I am sure he saw you or had someone seeing you. The only other way is if he had access to your personal accounts. Which is concerning.

Not possible as i was on my way to a meeting using bolt, it picket mne up

Unlikely. I used bolt. I was coming from another meeting he didn't know about. It was not my usual location where anyone can guess it. Say you're used to seeing me around Pretoria but boom the person tells you're in Katherine street in Sandton

No. Like how can you accurately guess someone location and the location being just a place you pass and you're using bolt car with no prior link to it?

Like I'm sitting here thinking. How did this guy pin point my location? I'm seriously concerned.

I played all scenarios and even went as far as purchasing a program to track location but it's not it.


The guy said. "Oscar be serious man, you're in x location but you say you'll be here in 15 mins? He sent me satellite image of the location. Not my exact spot but yes I was there.

But some lies you can just look past them. To be told no. You're at X road. Mind you X road is just somewhere you're passing.

Like I just tell you now where you are. Won't you be spooked? Like I tell you the place and nearby road.

Lying is lying, and your conscience is taking its toll - hence your worried response which negates all rationality.
