Good thing technical schools is happening then
That is a good thing BUT we're not out of the woods yet. An IQ=77 electrician will never be as productive as an IQ=100 electrician. To turn our economy around we need both good entrepreneurs and good workers. We have neither.
The best we can do is enforce a strict policy of meritocracy and strictly promote the best person for the job, even if that person is a foreigner. Sadly our IQ=77 unions will not allow this.
I am amazed watching American builders on youtube. Our builders are younger fitter stronger but they cannot produce at the rate of the Americans.

The problem occurs when we need to run a country and policy is shaped for IQ=100 but our nation has IQ=77. We are up in arms because our kids cannot 'read for meaning' at age 12 but that is perfectly expected for IQ=77. Especially where the school curriculum is designed for IQ=100. USA has the same problem.

Very good post! It is pointing out the deeper issues. A country can only copy so much from another. The school system should only be copied when the IQ difference is less than 20 points. After all even "the originator" deals differently with 'lower gifted' pupils. Schools in South Africa will be much more successful if the system has 14 or 15 school years instead of the current 12! The curriculum should be explained at a more measured pace and less should be expected from both, teachers and pupils. To implement that means reality must be faced head on and that is not 'politically correct'. Hence South Africa it can only go one way :(

There are many definitions of wisdom. Which one is yours?
Smart, wise, brilliant, clever, etc are all popular expressions refering to:
1. Intelligence
2. Knowledge
3. A combination of the two.
In most instances is point 3. If you are interested in AI and intelligence in general, here is a link I just got from one of the forums I frequent:
https://singularityhub.com/2019/08/...-neuroscience-are-driving-each-other-forward/
Knowledge precedes wisdom. Intelligence both precedes and succeeds knowledge. None of the two (knowledge or intelligence ) are wisdom, but are related to it. Wisdom allows visualisation of the correct outcome, and the application of the correct knowledge towards it. In some ways, especially with complex problems, wisdom can also be understanding (although this is also strongly related to intelligence).
An example: One has knowledge of the law (one may not drive drunk), and the intelligence to understand it (3 strong beers on an empty stomach puts one over the limit) however the decision to flout the law (and drive drunk) could be seen as an indication of a lack of wisdom. If the objective (or outcome) is to arrive home unhindered (a result of wisdom) then waiting until sober (or a range of alternatives) may be a wise choice.
My point is, they are quite different from one another, and cannot be used interchangeably.

The person working at the sAbC radio can only say what he is allow to say, otherwise ta ta. In this case this teacher might be a very good excellent teacher, but got a big bad tag to his name.

Unbelievable! A teacher tells pupils what a British professor Lynn has shown to be true, around the world no less, is made to resign under threats of prosecution.
No wonder teachers are leaving as fast as they can.
When will we learn "Get Woke and Go Broke"

He is a former professor emeritus of psychology at Ulster University, having had the title withdrawn by the university in 2018,[2] and assistant editor of the journal Mankind Quarterly,[3] which has been described as a "white supremacist journal".[4] Lynn studies intelligence and is known for his belief in racial differences in intelligence.[5][6] Lynn was educated at King's College, Cambridge, in England. He has worked as lecturer in psychology at the University of Exeter and as professor of psychology at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Dublin, and at the University of Ulster at Coleraine.

Many scientists have criticised Lynn's work on racial and national differences in intelligence for lacking scientific rigour, misrepresenting data, and for promoting a racialist political agenda.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13] A number of scholars and intellectuals have said that Lynn is associated with a network of academics and organisations that promote scientific racism.

That Lynn?

Always at least one dumbass...always.

You're it today. Congrats.
Your statement is clear evidence that the statement is by and large very false.

PS: Might want to brush up on your history. And religion while you're at it - your lord and saviour wasn't white
And last time I checked US and UK not performing too well in the brain departments ... maths spelling bees etc

Hmm maybe its because its got nothing to do with skin colour? Clever kids are smart be they white or black?

That's right, the same Prof Lynn well respected by his peers for a life dedicated to academics and the only way progressives can counter his argument is by shouting and threatening and protesting because their feefees are hurt. Reality doesn't care about feefees but progressives have yet to learn this. First class in debate will teach progressives that ad hominem attacks are not allowed. Even our kiddibins know you play the ball not the man.
This data has been around for more than a decade, repeated time and again and each time getting more reliable.

He is obviously not respected by his peers if you read the link I gave you. Even the ones not shouting are quietly and politely disagreeing with him.

The data has been around since the nazis, that should give you an idea of the intention behind it.

Unbelievable!! You have just created a new Logical Fallacy "Argumentum ad Nazi".

Actually the racism angle has been around for ages, thus the reason denying other races equal rights as whites, and then there was the whole sexism angle that forbade women from having the same opportunities as men too. Can link you to the history of you like?

This is not going anywhere. Nobody is denying anybody's *rights* because nobody has a *right* to equal IQ.
You have turned this into a racial thing and I am offended by that. Every race has high and low IQ members and for you to think otherwise is racist.

So you're actually disagreeing with the teacher then? But you said this which is the only reason I commented:

What I'm saying is "Since when is it a dismissable offense to say something hurtful but true?" Words are not violence.
Africa is not a place for sissies and I wish all the crybabies would leave so that the tough true Africans can start rebuilding our beautiful country.
