Problem updating apps on iMac

I recently updated my iMac to El Capitan after dawdling for months. But now I find that when I try to update pages, Keynote and numbers the things shows me some outlook.com Apple ID I don't know.

Changing to my own Apple ID doesn't work as I get an error that the apps do not belong to the Apple ID. All else updated except these three. Any assistance please.

This might help you get iWork tied to your own Apple ID, not sure though...

I assume the trial is installed with my current iWork installed. I still have the iWork's CD and it may be '09 iirc

Did you buy this iMac second hand?

Then that was the first Apple ID to use the iWork apps on that machine and therefore it's tied to that Apple ID.

OR

Did you maybe copy them from another iMac? Then it's also still tied.

The iMac was bought brand new, this only cropped up now after El Capitan

And no, I bought a copy of iWork's from Amazon. I wanted the movie thing on it

If you only purchase free apps, it should be no problem.
