Problem with tv

Hi,

I have a problem with my old TV, I can only get E, but not SABC1,2 or 3.

It works fine with a DSTV decoder and if i view the channels through my
DVD recorder.

Is it an NTSC tv?

So it gets dstv all channels 100% from dish?
do you have a normal over the air aerial plugged in when you don't get sabc and just get etv.
For etv you need a uhf aerial
for sabc and mnet you need vhf aerial
Those one's that have both often don't work well.

Might be true for where you stay, but definitely not the whole country.

@ bar1 - Have you tried re-tuning the TV.

TV is about 2 years old.

If you selling the TV it will need to be retuned anyway, you want to prove to the buyer that it can receive SABC

Sounds like an installation problem with your aerial. Where do you live?

I can get all the channels fine with my new TV.

Where do you live? Did you change between UHF and VHF when tuning? Some of the Chinese TVs have an option for the sound and they don't pick up anything if the setting is on the wrong one. What model is the TV?
