im installing a windowx xp pro now on the comp (a non leagle one X:)
and i have a problem.
the instalation does not recognize that i have a hard disk.

what do i need to do? :<

Hi aviv, welcome to the forums ;)

Please give me your motherboard name (manufacturer) and model number, I'll see on the site what I can find, it's normally related to SATA drivers that need to be installed.

Copy the SATA drivers that came with your motherboard to a 1.44" stiffy disk. When the installation starts it asks you to press F6 to install 3rd party drivers. Press F6 and install the drivers from the stiffy disk before continuing with the setup.

PS: Welcome to the forum :)

I copied them to the 1.44, then i pressed F6 and he gave me 4 choices:

1. INTEL 82801GR/GH SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
2. INTEL 82801GR/GH SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH7R/DH)
3. INTEL 82801FR SATA RAID Controller (Desktop ICH6R)
4. INTEL 82801FR SATA AHCI Controller (Desktop ICH6R)

he told me to chose which one i want the instalation to support, something like that.
what do i need to do now?

I'm not sure which one you should choose, it should be the SATA RAID controller and not AHCI, if you give me the motherboard name and model I can check ;)
