My wife got a cell phone contract from Telkom a month ago. She was looking for a dual sim phone and the sales lady at the shop sold her a Huawei P8. My wife took the phone and signed the contract. Three days later when she took the phone to Vodacom to convert her existing Vodacom sim to a nano sim (to use as the second sim in the device) and asked them to help install it the guy from Vodacom informed her the phone is not a dual sim phone.
Needless to say my wife was pissed off. She went back to the Telkom shop and went off at them. She ended up swopping the P8 for a P8 lite that IS dual sim capable. (they actually gave her a new simcard as well. She gave back the old sim and phone.) They promised to cancel the old phone and that the does not need to worry. This was well within the 7 day turnaround time.
Then the first debit order went off.

More than a thousand bucks. They charged her for two phones.
She visited the store and they claimed innocence and referred her the Telkom phone helpline.
She phoned. And phoned. And phoned. And phoned. And phoned. And phoned. Every time waiting anything from 30 minutes to more than an hour while waiting to be helped. Spoke to more than half a dozen of agents and team leaders/supervisors. They all promised to resolve it. They all promised to call back.
NADA. Zilch Fokk@l. Not one stinking pathetic waste of a skin agent did that. Empty promises by agents who don't give a phuk. She phoned 28 times by now. Lost close to a day of time (in total) of her life on the phone hanging on and speaking to these imbeciles.
The next debit order is due in a few days time. What now? Stop order? And then? There are no other contact number for Telkom. No way to escalate anything. Shall she go to the police? WTF shall we do??
