Promotional stock shortage

eehelfire unless the product they advertised is EOL(end of life cycle) purchased a batch from the supplier at a very good rate or the dollar played a very important factor due to our weak rand.. I don't foresee TelkomMobile coming back to the table to advice when this product will be available at TM direct shop, TM outlets etc.

I would never sign on the dotted line without having goods on hand, don't trust service providers after hearing numerous instances where people sign for a contract without receiving the goods in hand, you could wait 3 - 6 months until you receive but at that time other great promotions are out with latest hardware specs.

Surely they can speak to the supplier and get a rough time frame when their shipment will arrive.

Interesting but not surprising follow-up to the above... Tried last week to get the R279/month i5 or R229/month i3 AS STILL ADVERTISED ON TELKOM AT HOME PROMOTIONS ACER LAPTOP DEAL... No stock. How difficult can it be to then just remove the promotion and adverts from the website? Oh... and the July 2014 booklet still lists the i3 advertisement at R229/month... Really? With no stock from February 2014?

Telkom is such a joke - its no wonder they need to retrench.

Log a complaint with ASA and consumer commission - stating the continued advertising of products they don't have, and will probably never have.
