Prompting Telkom Exchange Upgrades & the joys of 10210

Hi all,

Our current maximum ADSL speed is 4Mbps. I've spent quite some time on the line to Telkom and in their store to see what I can do to get them to upgrade our exchange. The latest feedback is that there is nothing I can do except wait and see if/when they ever decide to upgrade us.

I'm willing to accept the feedback had it been the same from everyone, but every guy is telling me a different story. The only thing that remains the same is the maximum speed at the exchange. Does anyone have any experience with getting Telkom to upgrade their exchange or expediting things? At the rate things are moving along, it will be cheaper to use LTE by the time they get to upgrading the exchange!

Telkom will upgrade if and when they see fit and there's nothing you can do about it.

It may be purely academic anyway if the reason you're stuck on 4meg is because of your distance to the exchange, if that;s the reason you need an MSAN or fibre and that's even more of a long shot.
