Where on MTNACTIVE do you check usage on a PSD 1gb bundle because for the like of me besides seeing my unbilled call charges of a whole 31 seconds I don't get anything.

Bear in mind I got 3 accounts linked to my profile , if I goto the one for the datacard I do not see any usage being indicated to me of being within the 1gb limit , nearing the 1gb limit or going over the 1gb limit.

When I went to MTN last week all I got was a confused look from the consultant when I asked the very same thing , I have 3000 reasons why I want to know , would someone from MTN please enlighten me.

Hi Davidwza

I just had the honor of looking at your escalation that was sent to me.

Have you had the opportunity to check your inv now that it's been finalized ?

Total usage = 2 667 628 697 bytes

You where Charged = R 513.58 excl. vat. (GPRS)

Calculation 2667628697 / 1024 / 1024 = 2544.05 MB

2544.05 - 2048 = 496.05 MB

496.05 x R 1.20 = R 595.26 incl. vat.

595.26 / 1.14 = R 522.16 excl. vat.

I see MTN actually short charged you.

In future if you have any questions pls feel from to PM me.

Hi Pitbull,

What you are looking at is my last months billing which I am NOT disputing, i know what i used and what I went over and this in NOT a problem. I was allocated 2Gigs as per the MTN offer and went over it - fine.

What I am specifically referring to is my current month where I have only been allocated 1 Gig and I have used 1.2 gigs which i found by looking at my current unbilled balance on MTN active, i once again state that you have charged me for the amount over 1 gig which means that I am no longer receiving my 2nd gig free which has been stated by various sources within this forum that it is still avaliable, I am merely putting the record straight to people who think the special is still happening because its not. maybe you would care to comment on that.

lol... Oops ok.

Just to clear that also.

The system loaded the promo for 3 months as per the original promo. Now the system is removing them automatically. This is incorrect, and has been referred to the network group. Currently we are reloading the promo bundles manually like I did on yours.

Now it has been reinstated and runs for the month in total. So yes, currently it will look wrong. However if you where to exceed it again with us reloading it manually it would not effect it at all. I have spoken to Masilo and advised him to diarize this for the close of your next inv. If there is a credit due then I'll have it done. Bearing in mind that the bundle would not be exceeded and sort itself out.

Hope this makes it a little more clear.

Well thank you very much, firstly you are saying that by using 1,2 gigs I am still within my limit and I do actually have 2gigs avaliable even though I rightfully cannot see it,
and secondly who is going to refund me the R389-00 i just paid to Vodacom for a further 2gigs because i righfully beleived i only had 1gig data allocated to me?

This is how it will pan out.

I just allocated you another 1GB

So if you where to use 2.5GB then your bill would be correct.

The fact is we have confirmed on more than 1 occasion that the bundle is still working. I'll search the posts and post the links here.

The R 389.00 you just paid is for another 2GB you just bought. With MTN refunding you that amount that would mean that MTN gave you another 2GB for free in a manner of speaking, as you would be able to use it ?

I appreciate your response and doing what you are proposing, however if you look at this web page http://www.mtn.co.za/?pid=309378 it clearly is very misleading because the dates it stipulates are from 18Feb untill 18 June, add that to the fact that i rightfully beleived it was over because of what i saw on MTN I have now purchased an extra 2gigs from Vodacom which i didnt need to do added to all this I had to take time out of my busy day to go through all the processes of buying the card and then having it activated for data, which beleive me is no simple task because most of the people at the Vodacom customer services have no clue of how to activate a sim card for data.

@fismail - when logging into MTN active - you select your main account which should bring up your sub accounts - if you select the sub account that your data bundle is loaded on then select unbilled when the page loads.

unbilled can be found at the top of the page of the selected account - hope this helps.

I hear you.

I'll have the Website guys know to change that.

We'll I'm pre-paired to pay you out of my pocket for the VC sim with the 2GB. My sister in-law has been bugging me for some Data.

That would be 2 flies with 1 shot :D

so... after reading the above, is it right for me to assume that I actually have 2GB of data instead of the 1GB shown on my account on MTN Active?
