Flowing from this thread: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/854709-IT-Jobs-Wanted-forum-sub-section

biometrics has done some great groundwork and we want to round it off before creating the new sub-forum; an inclusive process!

Please read through the proposal and provide feedback on the proposal.

*******************************

The proposal so far:

RULES

Job seekers:

- keep it brief
- do not post your CV
- do not post your personal details
- no mention of salary or rates, discuss it via private message or in an interview

Employers and forum members:

- do not reply to the opening post, discussion to be via private message

EXAMPLE (for biometrics)

Job description: Android and iOS developer
Location or telecommuting: Telecommuting
Permanent or part-time: Part-time
Junior, intermediary or senior: Senior
Availability: Immediately
Experience: Professional developer for 27 years. I've developed for various disciplines be it low level firmware and device drivers, Windows desktop applications, Linux web services and mobile applications.
Technologies: Desktop, server, mobile. Many languages, tools, frameworks and libraries. Too many to list.
About me: I've been coding since age 13, it's been 35 years. I'm a geek and live for this stuff.
What am I looking for: I'm looking for freelance mobile app development work. I have about 20 hours a week available. The ideal employer would probably not have their own developers and are looking to develop mobile apps. As mobile apps tend to be self contained projects would typically be a few weeks or months.

Just thought of another proposed rule for job seekers:

- You may only bump your thread once a month

Great idea.

I think we should also allow for posting an optional links section. Stackoverflow recently introduced developer story which is like an online CV. One could post a link to that, to github , a site you developed or your own website.

Who's going to be the mod? MickeyD?

Can we make sure that one dude doesn't post multiple duplicate threads?

Agreed, think it's a wonderful idea and when you have found an opportunity, just edit and say no longer seeking. That way no-one will annoy you.
