Only 2 tests :(

I am guessing that young QdK is going as a specialist keeper?

No Thami, so I guess you are right.

I think he could be a great asset at 7 and as WC.

I am a little bemused with their decision not to give Kallis more game time, or are they not that serious about playing him in the team?

Not much of a challenge the opposition is putting up. And is Kallis carrying the drinks? It seems like it or is he carrying an injury?

Still, this is a good outing for the team and an emphatic start.

How many overs were left when Miller got to the crease?

Miller was dismissed at 38.4 overs. Probably should have come in at 2nd wicket down. Problem was that QdK and Faf used up a fair amount of balls in their knock. Hash had to get runs else it would have been a mediocre target to defend.

Are they playing full 50 overs or 45?

Do you rate miller? I am not his biggest fan, although I admit freely that CSA are not using him right..

Heard on the news this morning that JK is carrying a bit of "stiffness" which is why he did not play.

Personally I like him as a player. He needs to be given a chance to perform. Being started at different places in the line up probably does not help. In at 2 or 3 down would be right for him. Agree though that he ain't everyone's favourite player.

Today's game was a 50 over match.

Thanks. I think Miller should open and be given a license. If he fails 2/3 times it is fine as de Kock can easily then face the new ball.

I want to see him open. I feel for him because JP has shown he can be just as good a finisher, AB is there etc etc. So why not throw the cat in amongst the pigeons and have miller open and give him a license.

I find my interest in cricket dwindling quite fast. I'm not even amped for this tour or bothered to look at the start times for the games...

If he has not opened the batting it will not be that simple.

IIRC he has opened for his domestic side before. I know it is a big step up for ODIs but at the moment it really feel that he is seeing enough of the ball and that he is a bit of dead weight as CSA are not using him right. I would rather see him coming off one out of 5 times while opening than seeing him being wasted at no 7 or giving him 11 balls to face.

+1. After the Aus, Eng and India coup...well I am just not in the mood to support cricket any longer.
