Predicted as a much. A complete reversal of first test. Sri Lanka will probably bat another two sessions and get the lead to around 350 or more. We're going to have to put on another classic survival batting innings to survive this test.

Will they be brave enough to set a sporting target?

Highest succesful chase on this ground is 326.

All comes down to the toss. Idiot south asian cricket mentality. They think because they produce dust tracks that take spin it means spin is their strength. So bore fest that kills cricket in the region is the result. Win the toss and win the game. Kark.

On this track, I would say 350 to make it "sporting", but this is also a profession and if I was the SL captain, I would want at least 400 on the board. That would mean SL needs to kick up a gear and bat slightly faster to leave enough time to bowl us out. Who is going to do the math?

And they say the same about fast SA and Aus tracks. A good side must be able to perform on any track. It doesn't kill cricket - it gives it versatility to test both batsmen and bowlers and THAT is why it is called a test. You would probably be happy if test tracks consist of international regulated astro turf.

EDIT: Fortunately for you there is T20 and one day games

150 ahead, 250 required, 60 overs @ 4rpo. Leaving 120 overs to bowl us out.

Unless we bowl them out for 47, we can forget about winning. A draw will be a great result for us.
