What he forgets is that the wrist band attached to the glove becomes part of the "bat". As I saw it, the ball missed the bat and the glove but rolled off the wrist guard onto his forearm protector. Ergo... OUT.

We had some really top class umpires in PE in the 70s, 80, 90s and if you were mucking about and "not playing cricket" they'd gun you down at the first opportunity. As the batsman it was not funny but as the fielding team it was hilarious!
