10.50 am The rain is lighter now. Some blue sky to the west where the weather is coming from
10.45 am Big black cloud is letting it rip now. It is pouring. Almost the entire ground is covered
10.40 am Thunder. Big black cloud. Ominous. But moving fast
10.35 am And it seems to have stopped too. This will be that sort of day then
10.31 am Here we go again. This looks to be a heavier shower

:whistling: Let it [-]snow[/-] rain... Let it rain... :whistling:

this rain delay also works against the batsman... its like they opening the batting everytime they come out, and need to start all over again

Fanie in a cricket thread :wtf:

what? cricket is my game... like I said to AT, I'm a bit ashamed of my recent cricket watching activity... this was the only sport I really played and was good at, at school.

Openings batsmen and bowler ma boi.

Medium fast bowler, not dangerous, but potently accurate. Frustrated the batsmen while my bowling partner at the other end picks them off.

Same for my batting, was no destroyer of any bowling attack, but was the supporting act to my opening partner, I just rotated the strike. Had a mean square cut and cover drive though. Technically correct like a Kallis.

Bryden: "I can't help but feel that a long stay at the crease would almost cement de Kock's place in the Test side... As a SA fan I hope to see him bat for most of the day"

His place was in jeopardy? :wtf:

Herath to de Kock, OUT, that ends de Kock's resistance, he lunged forward outside off, it hit the rough and jagged in, de Kock tried to play it down with a closed face, it brushed the glove, took the pad and popped up to backward short leg, he battled well, but it takes only one to do slightly more than expected
Q de Kock c Vithanage b Herath 37 (92b 1x4 0x6) SR: 40.21
