Good job :p how much time do we have left?

Mike Haysman reckon still 30 min until the final hour starts, then it's a minimum of 15 overs. So if play starts now, I reckon still at 25 - 30 overs to go. Covers are still on though, long may they stay that way! :D

LOL

4.21 pm Ridiculousness. It is the groundstaff who run on with the covers again, as the rain returns. It is reasonably hard now. Sri Lanka are looking annoyed, understandably
4.20 pm Sri Lanka race back on to the field. It is a bit dark
4.17 pm The covers are coming off. Honest
4.15 pm Nothing more than drizzle, says Andrew Fernando, but enough to prevent anything from being removed. And another dark cloud is about to blow over
4.10 pm More covers are coming on now
4.08 pm But wait, the covers are returning. The rain has returned
4.07 pm The stumps are being put back, that shower has passed
4.03 pm The rain has picked up now. It really is coming down now, and they have to go off

I genuinely think the weather is just deliberately screwing with them now.

"No please, you can come back onto the field and resume play.... Hahah!! Psyche!"

4.27 pm The covers have disappeared. Sun is shining. Umpires have taken Herath's hat, but the South African batsmen are not out yet
4.25 pm The rain has eased to a drizzle. Sri Lanka are standing in the middle

The SA batsmen should look to try keep the ball running along the ground as much as possible. A nice damp outfield will make the ball clammy and difficult to grip.

They cover the ground 100% so little chance of that :(

How many overs left?

The speed at which SL are getting through their overs, I'd say plenty. Last hour about to start and Sri Lanka have been bowling at about 18 overs an hour. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised to see some SA delay tactics about to be employed here...

Wow, I turn away 5 overs gone, they are bowling at a phenomenal pace. All of this in an effort to confound the batsmen and coax them into a mistake.
