Hey. This is Zimbabwe. everyone looks good.
3rd wicket for Piedt
This has been Steyn's worst fiver. He should be ashamed of it! Four shocking decisions from the umpire. Piedt's first wicket, and Steyn's 2-4 wickets. The Proteas are chasing a target that's potentially 80 runs less than it should've been. All in all the attack was poor. Piedt costly while striking, Morkel&Philander flat, while reputation more than anything else made Steyn look better than he was. After the stolen series in SL - ball tempering&rain - now umpires chipping in here, we didn't need this after the bullying Australia meted out. Essentially 3 series later, have the proteas really been good at any Test after the 2nd one against India? Smith shouldn't be surprised that #1 was lost. Much deserved. The Proteas haven't dominated any side at all lately. AUS would've had more than double this score after 15 overs of the reply against medium pace trundlers.
There are errors, and there is sabotage. Without DRS, if what happened to Zimbabwe e.g. phantom wickets, had happened to one of the sides between say Ind-SA or Ashes the media would be resembling an inquiry right now - not the kind that Zuma commissions too. Anyway we'll see how much it affects the rest of the match. The Proteas should bat until midway after tea tomorrow. Depending on what ZIM post after that, I suspect conclusions drawn will factor in those shockers from the umpires. Manthorp&Jackman have already admitted as much on commentary.
