I'm a firm believer of admitting when you made a mistake, so I'll take the blame for today. Apologies to our team. I will also stay out of this thread when a jinx might be in action.

This^^... THIS^^ people!
Here is a man with integrity! You can stay ABCpt - this is the kind of spirit I want to see. THIS man will not make the mistake again. He is invaluable to us winning because he understands.

I am proud to be on the same forum as you ABCpt. YOU. make. me. proud.

/a single tear rolls down my cheek

The rest of you - LEARN from this man!

When we jinx, we jinx together - without fail and without question!
If you are not prepared to cooperate, you are PART OF THE PROBLEM! and you shall be known as the deserter and the Judas you are!

Be warned

I'm putting downs a few Randelas for that one.

Farhaan&Bavuma can't be worse than Miller seriously now! Bowling alone can't keep JP in the side now can it? Come 2015CWC, Phangiso will be our lead spinner, we won't need more than one in AUS/NZ so I'm betting Tahir will sit out. Morkel is smashed at will, same goes for Parnell&Marchant. McLaren's batting will NEVER compensate for the amount of runs he leaks. Face it, the team needs Philander&Tsotsobe. I stand by the belief Tsotsobe is th ebest new ball bowler in this country - in any format of the game. VP, DS&MM have been wasting it several times over the last couple of seasons. People are too loyal to notice it. Shezi is my dark horse,. I love what I've seen of him.

XI: Amla, QdK(wk), Faf, AB(c), JP, Bavuma, Philander, Steyn, Phangiso, Tsotsobe, Shezi.

Its no a matter of "Farhaan&Bavuma can't be worse than Miller", we need someone who is actually considerably better and neither of then offers us that privilege, Farhaan really being the better option of the 2 since he gives us another bowling option. Rilee Rossouw is really the only answer we have, don't mind his shaky start, go and look at his record.
Tsotsobe is a good bowler but he is as unfit as they come and to lazy, if and when he pulls up his socks i'll say get him back. Phangiso is also really not a good spinner, he is average at best, Dane Piet is the future of SA spinners, but play Tahir as long as we can in ODI's
Shezi has shown promise, and i agree with Philander, he makes our tail a little stronger as well.

XI : Amla, RR, Faf, AB, QDK, JP, McLaren, Philander, Steyn, Marchant, Tahir

South Africa's leg-spinner Imran Tahir has the best ODI bowling average (17.95) of all-time (min. 1000 balls bowled) #SSCricket

20.5

Williams to Rossouw, OUT, vicious turn and he's bowled! It was a flighted delivery well outside off, Rossouw saw the width and went for the cut off the back foot but the ball spun very sharply and knocked top of off stump

RR Rossouw b Williams 36 (39b 5x4 0x6) SR: 92.30

Funny how Tendulkar also scored 0, 0, 36 in his first three innings.

maro: "What the heck's happened to Faf? A couple of weeks ago I'd resigned myself to the disappointing conclusion that, in the end, he wasn't quite good enough for the very highest level, despite having a huge heart. For one thing, he looked like he only had two gears: complete defence or all-out attack. I wonder if this might also translate into some more commanding first-innings test runs too?"

Faf has certainly silenced his critics. Plays some good innings especially where the rest of the top order has not.

I was about to type that it's pretty clear there's absolutely no love for Faf here.

Nyumbu to du Plessis, OUT, goes for one too many and the top-edge lands into the hands of midwicket. The Zimbabwe fielders run up to shake his hands as Faf walks off the field. This was a touch quicker and not quite as short. Faf was just in that mode and has to perish. Standing ovation from the dressing room

F du Plessis c Chigumbura b Nyumbu 121 (140b 5x4 4x6) SR: 86.42

We're all very careful not to jinx the team.

Concur. Except that frigging maro went and did the dirty. Or was it just Faf trying to kill off any chances for Zim. I'll go with the latter.

I have to admit that I am a huge fan of this Madziva fella. 36 runs off his last 2 overs. Pure class.

Faf, JP and Russouw did well on what seems to be a tough pitch. After the dismal performance with the ball against Aus, we will clean up house pretty quickly - Zim out for 220 or less
