Was pretty entertaining. They will have lots of highlights on SS2.

It was great fun - great to see all the guys just having a fun evening, and some of the rugby players hit that ball hard!

Good fun.

I'm mildly disappointed they didn't have more fun ... calling Bok boundaries as ball into touch ... Bok lineup for a throw-in, some backline ball passing, etc.

Pity Schalk Burger did not play. That guy played some serious cricket back in the day. He scored a 100 off something like 60 balls versus the cobras IIRC.

I'd love to see a return match, with the Proteas playing Rugby against the Bokke.

Watching a couple of the Bokke bowl, and bat, is a testament to the high sport quality of many SA schools, where the lads are expected to play Rugby in winter, and Cricket in summer.

When I went to school (and I matriculated long ago in 1968), playing sport was compulsory, not voluntary. At the high schools I went to (in Northern Rhodesia, and then SA to finish schooling) we were punished if we happened to play with a soccer ball during a break. Boys had to play rugby, and cricket, unless there were medical reasons that they could not play those sports.

While all the Proteas were obviously taking it easy, it appeared that Kallis and Parnell (and Duminy to an extent) were going extra easy on the Boks. Faf and Tsotsobe were a tad too competitive I thought.

Would've been cool to see Liebenberg bat a bit longer, after all I've heard about him and also a pity Schalk couldn't make it.

The can only play touchies though. Too much risk for injury for the Proteas. A slight bump from Bismarck and Tahir will be dead.

They did play touch rugby earlier in the day.... and Bissie did nudge either JP or Phangiso. Hence Phangiso bowled a few "bouncers" at Bissie!
