First 2 balls have been rubbish. Sharp keeping from QDK!

Edit: make that 3 balls

Amla warming up for the world cup. Looks like AB's unorthodox shots are rubbing off into him. Six sixes in this match. He had just 24 sixes in his entire ODI career before this match.

If Gayle misfires then this game will be a total mismatch....

Agree.

I think this series against the Windies is a mismatch. I have never seen a Windies side that is so pathetic. They won the 1 game but seriously they are a sub standard at they moment.

Guys this Proteas attack is VERY bad. We shouldn't be surprised if the WI win without Gayle because minus him it's not a mismatch, since the rest of these batsmen are a match for this attack. Throw Gayle in and it's a lopsided contest in the Windeis' favour.

Proteas were going at about 5-6 for about 30 overs so it's ok so far. We can assess after 30 overs. As things stand it's still very much game on.

I know they've been rubbish, all the more reason why we should put the exploits of a lot of our players into context...something most are not keen on doing for fear of "denying" their heroes some credit.

Having said that they've looked more than a match for our weakend side - in T20s and the previous ODI. I don't see why today shoul dbe different. Both Marchant & Abbott fetching, they are slightly ahead of where we were after 5 overs (23/1) with their aggressive batsmen to come (Samuels, Sammy&Russells). I odn;t see any of our bowler sgoing for less than 7rpo. Question is can the WI go very big for 8 of the last 12 overs?
