Rossouw didn't play fc 2013/14? From this it looks like Bavuma shot is justified. But Farhaan is really high far away from the rest.

Bavuma Bavuma Bavuma!!!

As a batsman Farhaan is comparable to Faf, Rilee, SvZ, Alviro, JP, Elgar, Bavuma, Miller etc, and I believe he is going into his prime&is in excellent form right now. As a total package only JP compares to him. Hence, best test XI right now can only be:

Amla(c), AB, Faf, JP, Alviro, Farhaan, QdK(wk), Philander, Steyn, Tsotsobe, Piedt*

*I strongly disagree with that other guy who ranked Alviro that low amongst our bats. He's a class act on his day ... far more than SvZ, Rossouw, Elgar&Faf will ever be. That man has all the shots.

The way Jerome Taylor has started, I doubt even Bavuma will bat at all in this match ... or that Tahir will get to bowl much at all. Innings victory on the cards. I think Alviro, Elgar&Faf all under a bit of pressure will reap plenty ... before AB&Amla even come to the crease so.

This match depends entirely on how Chanders responds .. or it'll be a sign that he must retire like his peers. Afterall, Sanga, Mahela, Younis Khan etc have all come here and failed to deliver for their sides, there's no guarantees that Chanders can.

It's such perfromances from other teams - WI embarassing against SA now, NZ&Pak before - which keep a very poor Zimbabwe as a Full Member because they pushed the Proteas more, and would've done even better but for the umpires.
