I agree with you, but it will be good for SA cricket if we can have a full out black batsman. Rilee is a better player but he had his fair share of opportunities and failed badly in many of them (as in ducks). Bavuma is already in the squad and the opposition is poor so it is an ideal chance to give him a go - let him show what he has got. He looks a flashy player rather than being able to play a long innings though.

If it was not about potential contracts etc I would have given Eddie Leie a go as well because Tahir has crap test stats anyway. On a sidenote I rate Reeza Hendricks as a great talent but again he is not black.

Those ducks were in odi cricket. apples and oranges...I don't really care what is good politically...The National team should always only be selected on merit.
