That pressure and "criticising eyes" are there for the white players too. The unfortunate thing is that our sports administrators have created a situation where the reasoning behind the black player being chosen will always be questioned.

Not helped when a white player, warming the benches, has better first class stats and age cannot be used as an argument.

I agree with this.

Not to jinx anybody, but if things proceed as they currently do, there is a possibility that he might not get a chance to do anything other than fielding.

I'm assuming that SA will bat once and declare before he gets a chance to bat.

That would be cruel, but there is a possibility that the scenario might unfold.
