Jip, we had some luck again.
Bit of a slow day, but we are in a good place.

And I didn't see a single ball today. Mortified. Get to me destination during lunch time. The nice folk I am staying with only have Netflix. No cricket. Crestfallen. Followed it on a phone app.

Not a fast scoring rate but the innings is setup for good things. Windies will tie their decision if enough time is available for play. Cannot understand why they did not consult about local conditions and possible options.

3rpo is not bad for this ground. I sense that SA want to bat once and go big.

WI really misread the pitch and conditions and should have batted first when they won the toss.

Bat once is kinda how most teams play against the Windies these days... :p

... on days 4/5 the slow and low pitch will see Dale and Vern crushing the Windies batsmen. At least 3 LBWs in the last innings!

Guess the only thing that will save WI in this Test is the weather :p

Been raining quite a bit since around 11pm last night... still very overcast with a light, consistent drizzle.

Yeh, it's looking like it's not stopping anytime soon.
Pretty consistent like Mickey says.

Saffers will be looking for a premature declaration to get the Windies in.

Would hate to see 2 days lost and nothing to salvage but draw.

Probably will get in some play tomorrow.... covers on/off type of day.

Not today, though!
That will give us a chance but then the batsmen will need to step it up....get something decent to defend.
By then as you've said Dale and the boys should have a field day with quick wickets.....lbws will also do :p

The questions will continue to be asked. Token or earned?

Definitely token. There's no denying his talent but lately he's been horribly out of form.

Ironically the form batsmen at the moment is Tsolikele who is isn't even keeping anymore. Glove duties have gone to De Kok in the Lions setup. Thami would've been the perfect replacement for De Kok if only for this tour until De Kok recovers.

Selectors have a tough job.

Word from the ground… play resumes at noon - lunch at 13:30 then, if the light (and weather) holds, play until 7pm.
